The project aim was to "to familiarise students with the design and construction of a Mixed-Use Development which includes hospitality, commercial, apartments and cultural centre, in the city centre of Christchurch. The concept proposal will have to take careful consideration of the character of the place, the immediate urban context, the District Plan rules, and the vision defined by CCC Urban design Guides"

I really enjoyed analyzing the site in a larger scale for this project. It was the first time I had heard of a feasibility study, so there was much to learn. 

The challenge was to decide where the line was between too much conceptual thinking, or not enough. I played around with the mass of the site thoroughly, but I could have gone into more depth with materials, use and potential shape.
