Sketching is a great tool to help communicate what you are explaining, visually.

Tools used to sketch include:

- Markers

- Fineliners

- Ipad / Tablet

- Pencils

I love the model-making process, as it brings the concept to life!

I have made many prototypes and models throughout my studies- the highlight being the final product for EduFlex, a group project designing a solution to help support children who work on the classroom floor.

The first two design projects completed in Semester 1 2021 at ARA focused on abstraction.

These projects helped us to understand how shapes and forms can be used inside a given space.

In Bachelor of Architectural Studies, architectural technology is a key course to understand how structures are made. The first year focused on building from the ground upwards.

Throughout Product Design, I used Fusion360 and did a course on SolidWorks through the Engineering department.

At ARA I have dived into the world of ArchiCAD and have learnt the basics of Revit.

My favourite part of the design process is when I use Photoshop, Illustrator and other editing apps to create a realistic image of the final product!

These tools are also super useful for presenting projects and collating work together throughout the design process.
